WeCare Wireless Networks Introduces Integrated Wi-Fi Service™ Enclosure
In-wall enclosure designed to reshape how builders provide home networking services.
Livermore, CA – June 10, 2008 – WeCare Wireless Networks has announced the immediate availability of the Integrated Wi-Fi Service™ Enclosure which will enable wireless local area networks to be seamlessly designed into new homes.
WeCare’s Integrated Wi-Fi Service™ offerings provide a comprehensive solution for incorporating Wi-Fi connectivity into new single and multi-family homes while promoting green building initiatives and reducing structured wiring costs. Designing Integrated Wi-Fi Service™ into each floor plan prior to the construction phase ensures the most ideal locations are utilized for optimal wireless coverage and connectivity.
The Integrated Wi-Fi Service™ Enclosure reduces cost and complexity for the builder, simplifies implementation for the homeowner, and ensures maximum coverage throughout the residence. Until now homeowners have had to retrofit Wi-Fi networks into their homes after they move in. Current methods of installing structured wiring provide very few choices for locating the Wi-Fi equipment, thus limiting the coverage area and overall performance.
“Designing WeCare’s solutions into new homes provides one of the most cost effective ways a builder can differentiate their communities in this challenging housing market”, explained Dave Curtis, President and founder of WeCare. “Wireless home networking has become a mainstream necessity driven by today’s connected lifestyles. This enables the builder to deliver the most desired form of connectivity to home computing and multimedia devices, moving way beyond just offering wall jacks for plugging things in”, said Curtis.
Made of ABS plastic to promote wireless signal propagation, the patent pending Enclosure is installed after the framing stage within an interior wall cavity. After construction is completed, the Wi-Fi router and broadband modem are mounted inside the Integrated Wi-Fi Service™ Enclosure and connected to the pre-wired data cables. The textured cover is then attached to provide a smooth finished appearance.
“The Integrated WiFi Service™ Enclosure is not only the foundation for connecting today’s devices but also provides the building blocks for integrating green built appliances and smart home systems which rely on networked communications”, said Ray Fasnacht, Vice President - New Construction Services for WeCare.
